I don’t know where this photo came from, but WOW! I can picture Gabriel doing this!

I don’t care for the album’s B tracks, but I like her releases, especially If My Heart Had Wings.
Tetracycline is out. According to Safe Fetus, tetracycline is positive for causing birth defects during pregnancy.IF it was life threatening to go off the medication, it is an acceptable risk, but because rosacea is hardly life threatening, I can’t risk it. I’m not intending to get pregnant, and NFP works great, but accidents happen regardless, AND it is excreted into my breastmilk.
Oh well… How does Marvin the Martian put it? “Back to the drawing board…”
I think I’ll still go to a doctor and ask about my other options… or just wait until I can afford the seabuck thorn, and perhaps some foundation to cover it up on my bad days.
Still… how disapointing!
He Didn’t Have to Be

When a single mom goes out on a date with somebody new
It always winds up feeling more like a job interview
My momma used to wonder if she’d ever meet someone
Who wouldn’t find out about me and then turn around and run
I met the man I call my dad when I was five years old
He took my mom out to a movie and for once I got to go
A few months later I remember lying there in bed
I overheard him pop the question and prayed that she’d say yes
And then all of a sudden
Oh, it seemed so strange to me
How we went from something’s missing
To a family
Lookin’ back all I can say
About all the things he did for me
Is I hope I’m at least half the dad
That he didn’t have to be
I met the girl that’s now my wife about three years ago
We had the perfect marriage but we wanted somethin’ more
Now here I stand surrounded by our family and friends
Crowded ‘round the nursery window as they bring the baby in
And now all of a sudden
It seemed so strange to me
How we’ve gone from something’s missing
To a family
Lookin’ through the glass I think about the man
That’s standin’ next to me
And I hope I’m at least half the dad
That he didn’t have to be
Lookin’ back all I can say
About all the things he did for me
Is I hope I’m at least half the dad
That he didn’t have to be
Yeah, I hope I’m at least half the dad
That he didn’t have to be
Because he didn’t have to be
You know he didn’t have to be
This song hits the quarter-mark! Only 3/4 to go!
There are a lot of “Kings of Country”, but in my opinion, Brad Paisley is quickly becoming the best. Everything this guy touches turns to gold and I haven’t disliked a single song he’s released. (Celebrity, Alcohol, We Danced, Mud on the Tires, Who Needs Pictures, Me Neither…....)
This, though, is my favorite, and when I started listening to country, was one of the first songs I recall hearing on the radio and really liking.
(Odd, because my mom always said how horrible and whiney country music is… All I hear is a wonderful story in song form.)
And what a video! The little boy is SO CUTE!

I don’t know why I act the way I do
Like I ain’t got a single thing to lose
Sometimes I’m my own worst enemy
I guess that’s just the cowboy in me
I got a life that most would love to have
But sometimes I still wake up fightin’ mad
At where this road I’m heading down might lead
I guess that’s just the cowboy in me
The urge to run, the restlessness
The heart of stone I sometimes get
The things I’ve done for foolish pride
The me that’s never satisfied
The face that’s in the mirror when I don’t like what I see
I guess that’s just the cowboy in me
The urge to run, the restlessness
The heart of stone I sometimes get
The things I’ve done for foolish pride
The me that’s never satisfied
The face that’s in the mirror when I don’t like what I see
I guess that’s just the cowboy in me
Girl I know there’s times you must have thought
There ain’t a line you’ve drawn I haven’t crossed
But you set your mind to see this love on through
I guess that’s just the cowboy in you
We ride and never worry about the fall
I guess that’s just the cowboy in us all
I first heard this at a Canadian store called Zellers on their headphone system where you could listen to part of the album. I liked this song so much I bought the album, called “Set This Circus Down”.
I’m pretty sure Jeffrey Steele co-wrote this song, but can’t seem to find any information. I could go look it up in my album, but it’s not in a convenient place.
Write This Down

I never saw the end in sight
Fools are kind of blind
Thought everything was going alright
But I was running out of time
‘Cause you had one foot out the door
I swear I didn’t see
But if you’re really going away
Here’s some final words from me
Baby, write this down, take a little note
To remind you in case you didn’t know
Tell yourself I love you and I dont want you to go
Write this down
Take my words, read ‘em everday
Keep ‘em close by dont you let ‘em fade away
So you’ll remember what I forgot to say
Write this down
I’ll sign it at the bottom of this page
I’ll swear under oath
‘Cause every single word is true
And I think you need to know
So use it as a bookmark
Baby, write this down, take a little note
To remind you in case you didn’t know
Tell yourself I love you and I dont want you to go
Write this down
Take my words, read ‘em everday
Keep ‘em close by dont you let ‘em fade away
So you’ll remember what I forgot to say
Write this down
Stick it on your frigerator door
Hang it in a picture frame up above the mantel
Where you’ll see it for sure
Baby, write this down, take a little note
To remind you in case you didn’t know
Tell yourself I love you and I dont want you to go
Write this down
Take my words, read ‘em everday
Keep ‘em close by dont you let ‘em fade away
So you’ll remember what I forgot to say
Write this down
You can find a chisel, I can find a stone
Folks will be reading these words, long after we’re gone
Oh I love you and I dont want you to go
Baby write this down

Poor little guy.
This… isn’t going so well. No one is adding their name. Even the pisceans that cheer my goals or comments don’t add their name. I’ve had to hunt people down and ask if I can add them.
Come on, every one! Swim on by and drop me a line!
How often would you say you eat fast food? Not very often; maybe once every three weeks. Fast food has always been a treat and a splurge, not a way of life for my family.
What is your favorite fast food place? Wendy’s.
Who do you think the most well known fastfood mascot is? Whos your personal favorite? Ronald McDonald is the most famous that comes to my mind, and my favorite is the Taco Bell dog. (My least favorite is Burger King’s mascot – he’s just downright creepy!)
What fastfood restaurant is the most child friendly? McDonald’s.
What fast food restaurants (top 3) do you think are most agressivly advertised? I’m Canadian, so a lot of the fastfood places that are available in the US I’d never seen before. Sonic and Long John Silver’s, for example, don’t exist here.
Top Three would be McDonalds with their “I’m lovin’ it” crap, I did find Sonic commercials to be constantly on tv, and after that… I’m not really sure, but I guess Wendy’s has a lot of commercials out there. For a bonus, here in Canada we have a coffee shop called Tim Hortons that has food and their commercials and posters and advertisements are everywhere! (Even their coffee cups are the bulk of litter on the side of roads!)
Are you concerned abot fat/calorie levels in fastfood? Sometimes, yes, but for the odd time we do eat at McDonalds or Wendy’s, or the even rarer time at Burger King, not really.
How would you rank (1-10) fast food service? 6
How would you rank monetary value of food based on Its quality vs. price? 6
That one is coming….... (:
